Customer had a leaking water heater. Basement was flooded. Water had pooled all the way to carpeted steps. Asked customer if they wanted remediation, customer declined. Checked house pressure at 110 psi. Customer has a galvanized line coming from the street. Made customer aware that there may be a buried prv in the yard, but it can’t replaced on a galvanized line. If a second prv cut into the copper in the crawlspace causes pressure issues, the service will have to be replaced. Installed a new prv, water heater, pan, thermal expansion tank, whole house shutoff, and water heater shutoff. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks.
