Homeowner states that about a week or so ago he could smell sewage in the basement and first floor but didn’t know where it was coming from and today he checked the closet under the stairs in basement and found the cause of the odor the sewage pump failed. He could see water coming up and called us out to resolve the issue. Upon arrival I greeted homeowner and he should me to the basement and asked if it could be fixed but didn’t know the age of pump or anything else. I explained that we could pull and attempted to reset it but it wasn’t warranty if it worked and a day later it didn’t work and I suggested replacing along with a few other things that I found such as main water ball valve shut off, expansion tank with mounting bracket and GWH shut off which there isn’t one and the sewage pump. Homeowner opted to only replace the sewage pump which I began by putting together the new one in my van putting the 2 inch male adapter gluing in the pipe and adding the weep hole on the discharge
