Came out for a slab leak. Homeowner had opened the slab himself. He had polybutylene lines under the slab that were leaking. Customer elected to do a partial repipe and abandon the lines under the slab, as he had previously repaired the polybutylene under the slab. Opened up walls/ceilings where needed. Disconnected water lines from any piping going under the slab. Rerouted everything up inside the ceiling. Replaced the valves to the washing machine box. Turned water on and had no leaks. We realized the toilet in the powder room had no water, and concluded that line also must have ran under the slab. Cut some additional drywall and ran a new line for the toilet. Tested to ensure a leak free install. Water pressure tested in normal range. Water heater was from 2009. Left quote to replace, no further issue at this time.
