Customer had a 4-5 year old Rinnai tankless not producing hot water and beeping while throwing code 17. Performed diagnostic work on the tankless and insured there was a proper inh2o reading for the gas, ensure the Venturi wasn’t stopped up, ensure proper air gap for the condensate, and cleaned the air filter for the unit. Performed a pcl reset from the pcb board and flushed the unit. This was all done as a first step. The pcl reset resets the computer that learns the rpm for the fan over the first 100 hours of use so that any changes can be accounted for. If the issue happens again, additional diagnostics or repairs may be necessary. Made office aware that customer wants the cover for studor vent boxes from a job that was done years ago. Made customer aware we don’t stock that type of box anymore and likely can’t find the covers. Removed the top of gas lantern as a courtesy while the tankless flushed to allow customer to install their own solar lamp. Left price to replace galvanized w
