Homeowner states that he didn’t know that his kitchen faucet had hot water and only moved the knob one way and went to the basement and opened a shut off believe that it was shut off. He then went up stairs and finally moved the knob down and noticed hot water coming out and went back down and had the basement floor covered in water due to the shut off he turned on was not hooked up to anything and called us out to see what solutions we provided to cap the line and also for a new kitchen faucet. Upon arrival homeowner was waiting for me on driveway and showed me to the basement and what shut off he turned on and off. I then did my inspection and didn’t find anything else wrong homeowner also asked about a new kitchen faucet. I provided some solutions to cap the line and for a new kitchen faucet but homeowner refused and stated that he didn’t expect to pay our prices and refused any repairs and just wanted the dispatch fee.
