I recently completed a water heater estimate for a client in the city. The client was looking to replace their old water heater with a new one, and they wanted to know the cost of the installation. I arrived at the client's home and assessed the situation. I measured the space where the new water heater would be installed, checked the electrical wiring, and inspected the plumbing. After gathering all the necessary information, I provided the client with a detailed estimate of the cost of the installation. The client was pleased with the estimate and decided to move forward with the project. I ordered the new water heater and scheduled the installation for the following week. On the day of the installation, I arrived at the client's home and began the installation process. I worked with the client to ensure that the new water heater was installed correctly and that all the necessary connections were made. Arrived and found gas test gauge un-installed. Re-installed test gauge and pumped back to 15psi. Gauge is holding. Will be back to meet with inspector.
Arrived at home and homeowner showed me the hot water side of faucet. The flow is greatly diminished compared to the cold water side. Pulled cartridge and turned hot side isolation valve on to potentially dislodge any debris inside faucet, nothing came out. Reinstalled cartridge and disconnected the supply line hot side from isolation valve and turned on the cold water isolation valve to force water back through hot side of faucet. Small black rubber pieces came out. These pieces look to be from the old isolation valve that was on the hot side water line. These pieces could have broken off inside the isolation valve when the valve was turned off to install the dishwasher. Once water was restored these pieces went into the faucet. I recommend calling Delta and seeing if they are able to warranty the faucet. They could possibly send a replacement. No charge for today’s visit.

Installation of a new gas line for kitchen cook top. New gas piping shall be CSST piping. Drywall removal for the installation of new CSST piping from mechanical room to cooktop cabinet. Permit and inspections. Drywall repair, patching, painting done by others. Excluded: Drywall Repair Returned and tied in the line from the mechanical room to under the kitchen sink. Tested at 15 psi and it was holding as I left.
Customer would like a gas line ran to convert an electric cook top over to a gas one. Fixture is 15 feet from any other fixture. Gave all the information to Matt and he is going to work up an estimate
Install new 3 way stop and single straight stop. Installed new isolation valves for kitchen sink faucet and dishwasher. Restored water to home and tested. Water pressure to home after pressure reducing valve is 79psi. Will email over estimates by end of day.
Completed plumbing inspection of water heater, and sump pump Flushed water from the exterior drain to ensure sump pump was receiving ground water from outside Noticed a buildup of sediment and debris in the bottom side of the pit, which is not allowing the pump to properly clear the pit Also noticed the outlet piping for the pump traps water in two separate locations Talked with customer about clearing the pit and replacing the pump at the time Used drain valve of the water heater to fill the pit with water and test pump while doing so fluttered the main water shut off to flush any debris or calcium from the bottom of the tank Email estimate for replacement of sump pump
