I called Vern’s Plumbing to schedule a technician to come to my residence to inspect a broken main sewer pipe. Christian (the technician) arrived on time to my residence in Spotsylvania County. Christian took the time to talk with me about my problem and to inspect the broken pipe and the surrounding area. Most importantly, he explained to me what was happening with the pipes underground, at my residence, and what services Vern’s Plumbing could offer me. I was impressed with his confidence and his willingness to solve my problem. He did not provide me with an estimate because other gas, water, electric, and cable lines were buried very near by to my broken sewer pipe. As soon as the line locations are marked by the county, Christian said he would return to my residence to give me an estimate for the project. I should also mention that my broken pipe is 9 feet underground and presents a challenging dig.

I was called to replace a well pump in a residential home. The pump had been experiencing issues and was not pumping water properly. I arrived at the home and began to diagnose the problem. I found that the pump was not working due to a broken impeller. I replaced the impeller and tested the pump to ensure it was working properly. The homeowner was very pleased with the work and thanked me for my help.
I was called to a home to replace a joint seal under a kitchen sink. The customer had noticed a leak coming from the area and wanted it fixed immediately. I arrived at the house and inspected the area. The seal was old and worn out, and it was causing the leak. I removed the old seal and replaced it with a new one. I also cleaned up the area and made sure that everything was working properly. The customer was very satisfied with the work and thanked me for my help.
Hose bib located in the front of the home has ruptured in the wall. Bib needs to be replace asap. Also recommend we install a new main water shutoff valve and pressure reducing valve while we’re at it. Existing main valve is a full turn ball valve and the pressure reducing valve is starting to corrode. Both of these items are original with the home. Could not relocate the main valve anywhere in the home because of the way the water lines are plumbed. Emailed copy of invoice and estimates to homeowners email.

Arrived at location and inspected 3 comp sink in kitchen. Connections to basket strainers are leaking. They would like a quote on replacing all piping. Also inspected tankless water heater for an error code exhaust blockage. The previous company did not get fresh air for these units from outside, these 5 units get fresh air from inside the laundry room. This is causing the inlet fresh air screens to get clogged with dryer lint. Removed dryer lint and reset tankless. It is working as should. Also mentioned to me one day they had no hot water on the 4th floor but the following day they had no issues.
