From my first phone call to request service to the final service repair everyone was extremely professional and friendly. Reece gave me options for when they could come. She called 30 minutes prior to the technicians (Chris and David) expected arrival. They showed up as Reece had indicated. Chris promptly identified the issue and repaired it immediately. Chris double checked to ensure the repair corrected the issue. I would highly recommend Vern’s plumbing.
Christopher was on time, made sure everything worked effectively and was very friendly! Vern’s scheduled us for next day service and we really appreciated that.
Mr Chris did a wonderful job! He went above and beyond I did not know water outside from my house was leaking he let me know ,and to call my water company to come in take a look.
Chris Wilson came right on time and wasted no time in diagnosing the problem and provided a couple of options for addressing the issues.
Technician Chris came on time, performed a through inspection, concise explanation of issue. I highly recommend Vern's Plumbing.
Chris Wilson’s professionalism and quality of service is outstanding. He didn’t just provide a service he looked at his job as how he could provide a high level of service that would improve my home as well as the quality of our life’s. That was so appreciated. The next time I have plumbing needs Chris is my man.
Cut the water line for the shower outside the house and fix the broken pipe and turn back the water and test Email Mcdraper95@gmail.com
Diagnosed toilet that keeps running.
Replaced pedestal sink shut off valves.
Replaced shut off valve on toilet.
Attempted to clear kitchen sink blockage with k50 sewer machine, installed new badger 5 garbage disposal and re-piped drain piping underneath kitchen sink. Re-pipe included a clean out below the vent because I know will be back here in the future. Kitchen sink is draining at this time, but still has a severe gurgle and starts to back up slightly into the left side sink. This is still happening because theres tons of grease inside the 2” drain line. There is nothing I can about this situation except recommend us coming back to clear the line with the box jetting machine. The homeowner will be contacting the office next to approve the recommend estimates. Also found a leak at the water meter while I was onsite, it is located on town side of the meter. The town will be back out tomorrow to fix this issue.
Ran call for upstairs toilet gurgling randomly. This issue is being caused by a partial blockage in the 3” toilet line or blockage in the vent stack. I believe theres a partial blockage in the 3” line for the toilet because no other fixtures in that bathroom or home have had this issue. Both 2” pvc vent pipes coming through the rear roof of the home seem to be clear at this time. Also, this issue would be occurring all throughout the home if it was a venting issue and not just at one single toilet. Cleared upstairs toilet blockage with electric Milwaukee auger machine. Toilet is working as it should at his time with no issues. If this issue occurs again in the near future I recommend we return to pull the toilet and inspect the line. Installed customer supplied 50 gallon short electric water heater with new pan and isolation valves. Once the new heater was installed I noticed that I did not have 240 volts at each leg like did yesterday. Traced the issue back to the existing 30 amp double pole breaker that kept tripping inside the panel. Ended up installing a new 30 amp double pole breaker inside the panel, water heater is now getting 240 volts with no issues. Did not charge any extra for installing the breaker, but did charge for material. Emailed copy of invoice to homeowners email.
Existing 50 gallon heater was not sending power to the top element because the reset button on the top thermostat tripped. Once I reset the reset button the top element had 240 volts as it should. Hot water has been restored to the home. Told the homeowner I don’t know how long this fix will last and if this issue occurs again in the near future the thermostats will have to be replaced. Still wrote multiple us for us to replace/repair the existing heater. Emailed copy of invoice/estimates to homeowners email.
Abandoned existing 3/4” Big Blue main water line and reroute new 1” 250 psi black poly water line to the right corner of the home. New line will be rerouted between the driveway/oak tree so we don’t have to remove any of the black top. There is a bush that will have to be completely removed, homeowner is aware of this. **Homeowner is aware that Vern’s plumbing is NOT responsible for any bushes that need to be put back or settling of yard. Install included new 1” 250 psi black poly water line, main water shutoff valve, pressure reducing valve and backfilling of trench once the work has been completed. Total length of the service is 100 feet on the dot. New main water line is working as it should at this time with no issues. Homeowner said she has a friend thats gonna be paying the bill for her, still collected a signature through service finance as a precaution. Emailed copy of invoice to homeowners email.
Ran call for possible kitchen sink blockage. Ran the sink through multiple drain cycles when I arrived and had no backups or leaks. Water is rising in the left compartment when it drains from the right compartment, but this is happening because the sink is piped in as a continuous waste. We can return to re-pipe the sink with a trap on each compartment instead of 1 trap for both compartments. If this issue occurs again I recommend we return to re-pipe the sink and jet out the 2” kitchen sink drain line. ** I would recommend the re-pipe before the jetter. Emailed copy of invoice and estimates to homeowners email.
Existing badger 5 garbage disposal has failed and the 2” kitchen line needs to be cleared with the k50 sewer machine. Homeowner will review the estimate with her spouse then make a decision on to proceed with. Emailed copy of today’s invoice and estimate to homeowners email.
Existing water line is leaking between the meter and home. The existing piping in the ground is Big Blue piping, unfortunately we cannot perform any repairs on this piping due to the sizing and quality of the pipe. The only Vern’s plumbing can offer is installation of a new main water line to the home. Homeowner will discuss the estimate with her commercial plumbing friend then make a decision afterwards. Sent copy of todays invoice to homeowners email.
Cleared main line sewer blockage through hallway toilet access, main line is draining as it should at this time with no issues. Cause of the blockage was a combination of paper towels and flossing tips. Made the homeowner aware that these things SHOULD NOT be flushed down a toilet. Sent copy of invoice to homeowners email.
Wrote estimates to install customer supplied single bowl kitchen sink and customer supplied reverse osmosis system. Made homeowner aware of the existing 1/2” quest piping that’s hard piped to the dishwasher, he said he’ll address that issue when the dishwasher fails.
