Client called us out to property due to the 40 gal short model nat gas water heater in attic not putting out hot water. Unit was 13 yrs old, normal life expectancy is 10-12 yrs on tank water heaters. We replaced the 40 gal short model water heater with new Rheem pro series 40 gal short model nat gas water heater, installed up to code with new ball valve shutoff and new properly supported expansion tank. Home water pressure is good at 70 psi. Lit water heater and turned on. Unit is heating as it should, customer should have hot water in approx. 30 mins. 6 yr manufacturer warranty and 2 yr parts and labor warranty.
