Call for leak on mainline. Arrived and met with Ms. Marla. She is preparing for her late mother’s home to be sold, and the neighbors called her to say there was water flooding the backyard. They came and found a break on the main line. Several lumping companies have been out to offer opinions and estimates. My findings and recommendations are as follows: Findings: one inch pvc line from meter. Transition to 3/4 inch copper near home. Transition location unknown. No evidence of irrigation lines. Marla stated that a few points were brought up from other companies. The waterproof seal around the waterline is not holding. Hydraulic cement can be used to patch this at no additional cost. Another recommendation was to replace the copper line going through the foundation. I do not think that the copper should be replaced.
