Client called us out due to some pressure issues through out the home, and the pressure reducing valve was leaking. While investigating, noticed the thermal expansion tank on the 6 yr old nat gas water heater had failed. We replaced both the failed pressure reducing valve and the failed thermal expansion tank. Home psi is set right between 55 and 60 psi, as it should be. Tested all connections, no leaks. 1 yr warranty on work today. Will need to come back at some point and add proper support to the copper water line where the prv is, maybe when we come back for the quoted drain repair. Client also has an s trap in main floor bathroom lavatory. Left estimate to properly pipe in an air admittance valve so client would stop having sewer smells.
