Client called us out due to there being a leak coming from the upstairs hall bathroom shower valve, causing some damage below. Sheetrock had already been cut open for us to see the valves issue. When running, the shower valve was leaking from the cold side stem in the wall, due to it being broken out the valve. Unknown for sure the cause of the issue, but client did have over 95 psi of water pressure in the home which is a good bit higher than the safe range of 50-79 psi. To correct the water pressure issue we located the old pressure reducing valve and replaced it with a new 3/4” watts 25aub pressure reducing valve and also added a ball valve shutoff for the whole home so client can confidently use in future if needed. Home water pressure is set just over 50 psi. We cut out the old shower valve and added new ball valve shutoffs to the water lines so we could turn water back on to home. Installed new glacier bay 3 handle tub/shower valve and chrome trim with shower head. Caulked ar
