Customer had extensive water staining and pooling in the garage ceiling. Gave customer price to cut ceiling and find the leak due to red and blue pex being prevalent in the home. Opened the drywall and water leaked through from pooling in the drywall. Noted wet insulation also indicating the leak coming from the subfloor. Saw wet floor penetrations for electric through the subfloor. Opened wall behind dryer and found water standing in the pan for the washing machine above it on the second floor. Appears to be leaking through the pan and into the floor and ceiling below. Isolated the cutoff valves for the washing machine and customer has Reliable Restoration coming out to inspect scope of water damage. Will return tomorrow to install a new 50 gallon electric water heater due to the age of the existing water heater.
