Homemade states that he called the restoration company and they came out and explained to the homeowner that they believe the leak was coming from the kitchen water lines and turned off the water to the whole home. Homeowner requested me to come back and find the leak and approved cutting the drywall ceiling. I cut out the section where the kitchen lines are and unfortunately there was no water signs or marks that indicate that was the leak and homeowner had me cut out another section where the hose bib supply line went up near the tv in basement. I cut out a piece of drywall where the supply line ran for the bib and same thing no luck I could see wood damage but no where near the water line and I showed homeowner. He opted to replace the expansion tank and PRV with a new shut off. I began with shutting off the water meter and removed the old PRV and shut off and installed a new model with new ball valve with pex pipe.
