Arrived to the home to replace shower valve through tile, customers tub spout had ripped of the wall resulting in the valve not diverting to the showerhead. After demo of tile, I discovered that there is a drop ear fitting for the tub spout that had a blk iron nipple that attached to the spout. The blk iron had rooted away resulting in the problem. Demo tile to expose existing shower valve. Cut out and removed existing shower valve from the home. Supplied and installed new Moen posi temp shower valve from the front of the bathtub. Soldered all my connections. The existing water main was a very old gate valve, I advised to the client that before I turn the water on, to have me replace the water main as well. Shut off water at the curb. Cut out and removed old gate valve in the basement. Supplied and installed full port ball valve in its place. Secured those connections and turned the curb back on to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. Turned the main on and checked for
