Existing 1hp well pump didn’t have a torque arrestor above the pump or cable guards installed, this caused the pump wire/drop wire to rub up against the casing over time which eventuality rubbed all the way through the wire coating causing the pump to fail. Well also has a severe leak located at the pitless adapter. Installed new 1/2hpm8gpm well pump with new 10-2 wire, 1” poly, cable guards, torque arrestors and pitless adapter.
