We had recently replaced the existing water heater for the client, since the time of that install the client stated a weird sound coming from the Moen shower valve whenever you turn the dial to the hot side. The tech on site had attempted to replace the shower cartridge for the client after the water heater was installed, and there is still very poor pressure from the hot side only and the shower valve is making a weird noise. I arrived on site and first wanted to make sure the issue of the shower valve. I first replaced the shower cartridge for the client and the is still not pressure and it is still making a weird noise. My theory was there is debris stuck in the shower valve causing the reduction in pressure and the sound. I advised to the client, before I replace the valve to let me flush the system.
