Arrived on site to perform furnace diagnostic on 2007 Bryant heater. Upon arrival Mr. King stated that the unit is not heating up and they’ve had multiple issues throughout the years they have lived there. No maintenance and service has been done recently. Began diagnostic at indoor furnace and immediately saw that evaporator coil is not correctly piped and has consistently leaked over onto the furnace. Control board has water damage on back. Indoor blower motor has significant oil leakage which will lead to it locking up or overheating. Advised client that heat exchanger should be pulled and tested to verify that it is safe. At this time control board will have to be repaired and it is a possibility that gas valve may have been damaged by water as well. Clients are interested in replacement and have been dealing with issues with the system for years. Supervisor will be returning on Tuesday to go over options.
