Customer called wanting to install whole home surge protection as well as a power monitoring device. Customer stated that over a period of several years, they’ve had many outages and surges resulting in appliances and HVAC equipment being damaged. Left quotes for panel replacement due to age as well as the number of surges passing through the panel. Will forward quote to install power monitoring device ASAP. Pull all city permits and inspection, install weatherproof first responders disconnect or 8 circuit feed through panel next to meter (lifetime warranty), install 200 amp 42 circuit main breaker panel in garage (lifetime warranty), install grounding system, install whole home surge protector - 108k amps protection (lifetime warranty), install customer supplied battery powered bluetooth interconnected smoke detectors in bedrooms and smoke/CO detectors in hallways (free), install customer supplied power monitoring device (free) Replaced 200 amp panel in garage and properly grounded
1. Run conduit out of panel into attic 2. Install 50 amp gfci outlet 3. Run wire across attic and drop down wall 4. Install box with 3 prong plug 5. Install range - will have to cut Sheetrock and we do not patch, cover or repair any sheet rock and we don’t know how much damage will be done- - 5 year warranty only everything -
Pull toilet in hall bathroom. Attempt to restore flow to sewer drain and follow up with camera inspection. Replace wax seal, closet bolts and water supply line. Customer needed a plug at above TV because dog kept chewing up cords. Cut a hole above the TV to run wire from plug below and explain to customers before I cut hole that there could be fire blocking in wall. Wayne was trying to fish up the wall realized that there was fire blocking in the wall and could not fish down the wall. Recommended that we run a wire from the attic, but customer did not want me crawling around in his attic. Customers are going to get a surge trip and use that instead. there is nothing under warranty and we didn’t know work other than cut a hole and put a blank cover on hole.
