Overall service was good. Lease agreement was straightforward. The Tank install was as planned and the service people performed well. Only issue I had was both the tank and the burner were new installs and the contractors wanted the other to install first. Once I got contractors to speak directly with each other they worked out the timeline and everything is installed and our propane fireplace is working well.

The delivery system is not accurate and they have a hard time with accounting and billing. Lots of errors most likely attributable the reliance on computers to do a job that humans can do better.

I came to Tevis from another big name oil company for much the same reason as I have for leaving Tevis now. I run a business and take good care with fair pricing of all my customers. The long time loyal ones I make sure to take extra good care of them. The oil business does not seem to be that way. I have been with Tevis since they bought Rittenhouse and with Rittenhouse for some years prior. I have been on automatic delivery with budget billing...paying 10 months out of the year. In 2022 I was running a pretty good credit in my account and for the last two summers, let that credit ride. It was $975.00 in December 2023. on 12/14/23 you delivered 192 gallons of fuel to my house at $4.18/gallon........between 50 to 60 cents more than the market price. Now, If I have provided you working capital by means of my credit balance to work with, am on automatic delivery and have been a customer for years......I expect something a bit closer to the market price. This is a matter of trust. In my point of view, I have allowed you to control the money I send in each month and you have also determined the price I am going to pay. Probably foolish on my part. By the way, I checked today and YOUR on call price is $4.07. Last year I had a large credit balance and called to cancel the automatic delivery and have them send the balance to me......wouldn't you know it.....two days later your truck delivers a tank of oil. I just let it ride as a mistake. The difference in this recent tank of oil between market and what you charged was $113.99. This is entirely unreasonable. In my call today the offer was made to lock in my price cap at $3.59. I had called to apply for the price cap in 2022 and was told that I did not use enough oil per year to qualify. Your personnel are nice, and top notch....as they should be. Your pricing, just like one of your major competitors in the area does not take into account loyalty and how much we are giving you to work with between deliveries. I am done with Tevis.
