CUSTOMER STATED: They had a leaking water heater. TECHNICIAN NOTES: Upon inspection, I found that this is a state select 50 gallon natural gas water heater located in the basement of home, and is 20+ years of age which is outside of manufacturer warranty. I found that this unit is leaking internally and must be replaced as there are no repairs I can make for this tank. I let homeowner know I would need to submit two choice warranty for authorization of replacement, and this could take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. RESOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS: We will need to replace the existing 50 gallon tank located in basement of home with brand new tank, and all code required items to help fix/prevent any future plumbing issues.
