Arrived to the home, customer has sold the home but did not pass the CO from the town due to the laundry sink in the basement not having a permit pulled. I arrived today and the sink and pump are all installed properly, only issue I could see was that the stand pipe for the washer had no backflow prevention, so if the sewer line were to back up, it would flood the basement. I advised to the client to have us remove the stand pipe and reinstall the discharge hose for the washer directly into the sink. Cut out portion of sewer line. Removed stand pipe for washer. Added new pipe and fittings and secured my connections. Ran water to turn the pump on to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. Extended vent/inlet on pump housing to allow the discharge of condensate from tankless water heater into the pump directly. Strapped up the piping accordingly. There are no leaks at this time. *Permit fees are at homeowners cost.
