Arrived on site to perform fall tune up on a 2003 carrier unit. Furnace located in attic. Client stated no issues just wanted system serviced. Cycled thermostat on and was good. Found filter to be washable and good. Found black flex ducting used and old condition. Found blower assembly really dirty due to the amount of dirt that has entered system is past years and creating stress on motor.recommend cleaning blower assembly to help reduce wear and stress on motor. Motor is now leaking oil as there is oil down shaft of motor and in blower wheel it self. Motor is pulling high amp draws and almost at max and could be failing at any time. Recommend replacing motor before completely fails. Inducer motor is over amping as it’s pulling 1.7 amps and max rated at 1.4 amps. Indicating inducer motor could fail at any time due to age and how hard it’s working. Secondary motor control is weak and bad from blower motor working hard draining life of unit.
