Arrived on site to perform tune up on a 32 year old. Client stated unit is working and no issues. Just had new thermostat added on. He is aware unit is old and condition and just waiting for it to fail. Washed condenser coil. Checked electrical. Primary stater is older and original. Secondary motor control is out of range. Fan motor is working hard and starting to have a lot of play from over working. Checked compressor and is working hard due to condenser coil is missing a good are of it and causing really high stress on unit. Checked preamp unit is holding a charge but in accurate due to the condenser coil missing as it not able to reject out of unit. High side pressure got to 370. Unit is cooling at 17 degrees. Filter was replaced by client. Blower assembly is dusty due to age of unit as it’s pro to home. No protection on either unit. Cycled unit and went over findings. Client is well aware of how bad it’s running and conditions. He dose not want to do any repairs as he is just
