Arrived on site to perform AC diagnostic on two systems comfort maker unit 2007. Upon arrival Tyler stated that the systems have been nonoperational for about a year and when they were working they didn’t work properly. Began diagnostic and found that low-voltage wire on both upstairs and downstairs unit were chewed off from dog. Rewired line And low-voltage connections was energized. Found that both dual secondary motor controls were defective. Starters were burnt up on contact points and outdoor condensing fan motors are both leaking oil. Measured refrigerant pressures and found that upstairs pressures were fine but downstairs system was slightly low. Both system contained a phase out refrigerant called R22 which is no longer manufactured as of 2020. Discussed full condition with Tyler and at this time he would like to just do the bare minimum repair and understands that it is only a Band-Aid and doesn’t Guarantee extra life for both units. Client plans to replace in the near fut
