Arrived to perform a diagnostic. Customer said system was not cooling we installed the furnace in October. We cycled system on indoor temperature was at 85 degrees. Checked merv 11 filter and was really dirty. Replaced and upgraded with a merv 16. Outdoor unit was not running. Breaker to disconnect was off. Switched it on and a loud noise started happening it. Quickly turned it off. Removed the cover and noticed the fan blade was broken off the shaft and the motor was leaking bad. Took pictures and showed customer condition of the system, let her know r22 refrigerant is no longer manaufactured. Customer doesn’t want to replace, wants repairs to keep system alive. Replaced condenser fan motor, fan blade and inserted two pounds of r22. System is cooling down to 51 degrees out of the supply. Cycled system off and on. System is operational upon departure. Customer wants paper invoice mailed to home.
