Arrived on site to diagnose no cooling 2004 carrier unit not cooling. Upon arrival spoke over with client and he stated he’s had previous issues and someone else came out and did some repairs but since last year they unit now recently system is not cooling at all. Client stated he also has very bad airflow in home and especially in all upstairs bedrooms. Inspected attic and ducting and found it to be gray flex with a lot of repairs and patch work done over years. All ducting going to upstairs bedrooms are all under size and is why airflow is completely horrible. Advised ducting should be redesigned and ducts to be bigger to allow food and evenly airflow to every room. Client is aware why airflow is soo bad upstairs. Found unit is from 2004. Found primary starter burnt up and original. Recommend replacing. Found that both secondary motor control have been replaced and motor was replaced as well and is over amping and at max. Found compressor pulling 15 amps and max rated for 20. Chec
