Performed AC maintenance on 2006 carrier system. Upon my maintenance they were multiple points and concerns that were addressed with Mr. Anderson. Condenser- 1. Found that condenser fan motor was very rusted out and leaking oil from it’s bearing. If left in this condition motor can potentially lock up or over heat. 2. Measured lock rotor amps’s and found system is pulling at 71 amps. This was very close to its maximum specification of 74. Installed compressor saver kit to reduce start up amps 3. System was not equipped with search protection in the case of a power outage thunderstorm etc. 4. Recommend that 1 inch filter is swapped out every 1 to 3 months 5. Condenser coil was cleaned 6. R410a refrigerant was in the proper range. Discuss full condition of system with client and he’s completely aware. Provided a list of repair options because client states that he’s trying to get a couple more years out of it. Advised that doing repairs will help provide a little time. Insta
