Arrived on site to perform spring tune up on a 2012 Goodman unit. Client stated no issues. Cycled unit and is good. Condenser in back yard. Furnace located in attic. Washed condenser coil inside and out. Stater is worn out and pitted from age and operation. Secondary motor control is good. Fan motor is getting wear as it’s pulling max amps. Advised due to age and unit. Checked start up and run amps on compressor and both are good. Pressure are good and holding and cooling home. No protection on unit. Recommend adding. Replaced filter. Found black flex ducting used. Found home to be n 2 zone and 1 stage furnace advised is just making unit work hard as it’s not designed for zoning. Unit is cooling and lines are clear. All safety switches are operational. Client os aware how unit is running client did hold off and did renew ESA unit is operational upon departure.
