Performed diagnostic on system. Homeowner states that water is leaking through his ceiling. We performed a cut and clear about a month ago and he believes it needs it again. Went into attic to inspect drainage system. Primary line appears to not be getting any water. Opened up evap coil and found a completely clogged and restricted evaporator coil. Evaporator coil is causing such a big restriction that it is causing the water to shoot over the pan. Ductwork coming off plenum was completely soaked and full of water. Drain pan is extremely filthy as well. Went over findings and recommendations with homeowner. Went over different options. Homeowner wants to replace evap coil, but would also like to get some pricing on replacing the furnace as well for better pricing on the two. Turned call over to Darren for replacement options. System is not operational upon departure and highly advise homeowners not to run it due to potential ceiling Damage hazard.
