Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on 1994 York system. Homeowner states that system is not cooling as is used to before and struggles keeping temperature. Has had a couple service Calls in the past where they had to recharge the refrigerant and also relocate the condenser. Cycled system for Cooling. System came on normally. Checked outdoor unit electrical and system components. After troubleshooting, found system to be low on refrigerant. System uses r-22 refrigerant which has been phased out as of last year. It is still available but price has changed pretty significantly from the last time that they had to recharge it. System also has a obvious leak due to it having to be recharged in the past and now low again. Went over findings and recommendations with homeowner. Homeowner ultimately wants to replace system. She has a company coming out tomorrow from 1-3 to give quotes on replacement. She would like us to come out on Friday from 3-5. System is not operational upon departure.
