Arrived on site to perform AC diagnostic on 1999 condensing unit. Upon arrival Noel stated that the system is working but keeps tripping his breaker. Began diagnostic at thermostat and found an indoor unit was operational. Proceeded to outdoor condensing unit and found the Condenser did turn on. Measured refrigerant pressures and found that they were in range although contained a phased out refrigerant called R 22 which is no longer manufactured. Once I began measuring Amperages for the compressor I found that it was using a total of 26 A which is way too high considering the max amperage is rated at 28 A. Outdoor Fan motor is also over amping. Noel has already replaced himself the duel secondary motor control and the indoor blower motor inside of the house. At this time it is a parent that the compressor is over amping and on its last leg till it breaks down. Advised Noel that a R22 compressor replacement will be a major repair on a 1999 unit and is only temporary. Both homeowners are
