Arrived on site to diagnose a no cooling 2003 unit. Condenser placated on side of home. Only upstairs is not working or cooling. Upon arrival spoke over with real estate agent and Matt seller of home. As they had just sold home and wanted to see what wrong with system and get it up and running for buy of home. Found out door unit not operational. Indoor unit is producing air flow. Filter dirty. Inspected out door unit electrical compartment and component. Found primary controls all burnt up and pitted on contacts points. Secondary motor controls is completely bad. Would recommend adding a compressor booster kit to help preserve compressor and run easier. Fan motor is very old condition and has been leaking oil from self wear of operation. Could fail due to conditions and oil that has been leaking in past. Advised client of findings. Did light maintenance on unit to see if that’s only issue of what is happening. Inspected indoor unit.
