Performed AC diagnostic on 2005 Goodman condenser. Upon my diagnostic Mr. Vincent had stated the system hasn’t been working for the last couple days and was blowing hot air out of the supply vents. Further investigation shows that the compressor was locking out on lock rotor amps Which means the compressor was using too much power on start up causing it to go into a lock out. Found at the duel secondary motor control was reading at 4 MFD when manufacture specification is rated at 40. Installed new duel secondary motor control And condenser fired up. Upon measuring my amperage I found that the compressor was pulling at 20 A when the max amps is rated at 21. This is a major indication that the compressor is beginning to fail Due to the electrical windings becoming weak. Also found that contactor had major pitting and burn marks occurring on contact points due to the high amperage pull over time.
