Upon arrival unit was operational. Started at the outdoor unit and checked system pressures.Checked amps the fan amps were at a .9 out of a .75. The secondary motor control was in range. Washed the unit from the inside out. Moved to the indoor unit checked system amps they were in range temp split was at 18 degrees. Condensation line was clear and blower motor was free of oil. Explain to the homeowner that the fan motor was working hard causing it to eat oil and it can cause other components to fail. Recommend to replace it as well as there may be a possible leak. Next visit he wants to check pressures before doing any repairs to see if it’s lower.
