Job Checkin

Arrived on job site at the customer’s request to perform a whole-home safety inspection. After inspecting the entire home, it was determined that the existing Challenger breaker panel located in the garage is hazardous and shows significant signs of heat damage. During the inspection, it was also observed that the kitchen GFCI repeatedly trips and produces an arc when reset, indicating a fault within the circuit. The customer expressed interest in installing an electric vehicle charger. I advised that installing a car charger on the existing panel is not recommended due to safety concerns and that the panel will need to be replaced. The customer understands the hazards associated with the recalled Challenger panel and the importance of replacing it. All proposed solutions will bring the electrical system up to current City of Carrollton code requirements and ensure it passes city inspection. A follow-up in-person visit is scheduled for February 11th, after the customer closes, to rev
