Customer called about the bathroom outlets not working as well as the garage GFCI tripping and not resetting controlling the two outdoor outlets. Found bathroom outlets have several GFCIs that trip making it confusing to reset. Restored power by resetting GFCI outlets. Found neutral and ground wires in front porch outlet were touching which was preventing the garage GFCI from resetting. Replaced two outdoor outlets and reset GFCI but still had no power. Traced wire back to garage storage room outlet on the left as you enter the room. Hot wire had been disconnected. Reconnected wire and GFCI would no longer reset. Found wire running from back porch to front porch had a direct short which could not be located. Informed customer that the wire would need to be replaced or disconnected. Currently no power to the front outdoor outlet. Back patio outlet and garage GFCI are working fine. Also found squirrels in the attic which may have damaged the wire.
