Received a call that the heat for the back left bedroom was not operating, upon arrival I turned on the main thermostat which is zone 1 and there is no air flow to the back room. I confirmed that Zone 1 is the main part of the original house. I found that that back left bedroom is part of an addition to the house which is also part of the family room zone, I cycled the family room zone and confirmed that there is air flow coming from the air vents. I did find that no matter which zone calls, the main house zone always gets heat. I will need to return to remove the damper from the duct and confirm if there is air leakage or if the damper needs to be adjusted to close better to cut down the airflow.
