Arrived on site for no Cooling. Customers AC was running fully functional when I arrived. Customer wanted to know why the unit shut off. Customer said that they shut off the unit from both thermostats and I started it back up in the unit started normally. Went up to the attic to the air handler to inspect the reason of the shutoff. Noticed a small amount of water on the emergency drain pan that look like it came from a little gap opening of the evaporator coil panel. Dried up the wet spot and opened up the panel to check out the coils.

Arrived on site for no cooling. Checked out the thermostat if the thermostat was calling for cooling. Was went downstairs to check out the air handler the air handler was not running looked at the fuse the fuse was blown out. Swapped out the fuse turned on the unit causing it to blow out again. Check the wiring from the air handler to the condenser. Contact it was not receiving 24 volts it was not getting pulled in. Swapped out the contactor contactor was now pulling in the 24 volts

Arrived onsite for no cooling in first floor system. Performed diagnostic. Found no signal to outside system. Found fault electrical safety circuit. Blown 5 amp fuse. Used resettable fuse to test the system. The system started up and ran fine. Replaced 5 am fuse. Monitor system for faults…none were detected. If the fuse continues to blow; we can perform thorough diagnostic on the electrical system looking for power surges and shorts. System running as it should.

System ductwork causing airflow issue leading to the tripping of the big limit safety. Bedroom return 12x12x1 with 10” flex. Hallway return 12x24x1 with 14” flex. Manometer readings: 0.65WC return and 0.15WC supply . 0.8WC delta. Adjusted the zone setting on the zone control panel to stop heating before the furnace limit switch trigger. This should stop the furnace from turning off in high limit and blowing air to all zones.

Arrived onsite for heating maintenance 2 gas fired furnace 1 in basement and 1 in the attic. Attic Furnace unit: Turn heat on and confirmed operation. Notice the system running hot and turning off. Homeowner mentioned having air flow issues to office space. Confirmed operation of both zone dampers. Adjusted manual dampers to minimize zone 1 air flow and increase air flow to zone 2. Made the office zone flex duct more taunt to increase air flow. Homeowner noticed increase heat to the room. Noticed that the air flow, CFM, through the furnace could be improved with better return air. Homeowner is also interested mini split heating and ac solutions.
