Performed the maintenance for two geothermal systems, the customer has washable filters which he already took care of. Checked and cycled the geothermal condenser and confirmed proper operation for each, and also cycled the backup propane gas furnaces and confirmed operation. I found a bunch of air leaks in the attic which the homeowner was going to tape up. We will need to check the refrigerant charges in cooling mode in the spring, according to the installation manual we are running at a lower output heat temperature then we should be. The units may be slightly low on refrigerant and may need to be topped off. The customer claims that they cannot properly heat the house once it gets below 40° on the geothermal and they have to run the gas furnaces in years past they were able to run the geothermal down to 25° outdoor ambient.
