Job Checkin

Arrived on the job site. The customer reported that her home was struck by lightning and the fire department had shut off power at the main disconnect outside. I performed a minor troubleshoot to check voltage. After turning on the main disconnect and resetting the breakers, I observed significant dimming and flickering lights throughout the home, along with multiple appliances not operating correctly. Checked voltage at the main panel and found an imbalance: one leg was reading 124 volts while the other was only reading 24 volts. I contacted Oncore to cut the meter seal and open the meter base. The line side showed the same readings—124 volts on one leg and 24 volts on the other—confirming this is an issue on Oncore’s side. I informed the customer that no further diagnostic or repair work can be performed until Oncore resolves the voltage issue. Once their line is fixed, we will return to inspect her appliances, outlets, switches, and breaker panel to verify proper voltage balance a
