Arrived on site and the customer stated that the hallway smoke detector was overheating and producing a strong burning odor. Replaced the existing unit with a new hardwired BRK smoke detector featuring a sealed 10-year battery and a 10-year manufacturer warranty. Performed a full home safety evaluation and observed that the electrical panel was located inside a closet, outdated, and not up to current code. Provided a solution to relocate and replace the panel to an exterior location and bring the entire electrical system up to current city code requirements to pass permit inspection. Scheduled to return on Thursday to complete the work, which includes relocating the main breaker panel to the exterior, extending existing conductors, installing AFCI protection for bedroom circuits, adding whole-home surge protection, replacing the meter base with a slip riser, installing a complete grounding system (ground rod and cold-water bond), upgrading unprotected wet locations with GFCI protecti
