Arrived on job site; customer stated that multiple outlets on the same circuit were not working. Performed a standard troubleshoot of the two upstairs bedrooms and identified that the bedroom located to the left at the top of the stairs was affected. Removed the outlets and confirmed zero power. Accessed the attic, traced the wiring, and found the circuit feeding a single outlet in the back bedroom. The outlet located immediately to the right upon entering that room was not feeding through properly. Re-spliced and reconnected the wiring at that outlet, restoring power to the entire circuit. Customer also mentioned having three “smart outlets,” which were determined to be smart thermostats requiring a C wire. Informed the customer that this work falls under HVAC and would require an HVAC technician.
