Job Checkin

Arrived on site, and the customer stated that the outlet on the kitchen island was not working, while all other outlets in the kitchen had power. Performed a minor troubleshoot to diagnose the issue and found that the island outlet had a loose connection on the hot screw, which was causing slight arcing. Replaced the outlet with a new white duplex receptacle and wrapped it with electrical tape due to the metal box enclosure. During troubleshooting, I also noted that the electrical panel is a Cutler-Hammer type with breakers showing signs of wear and tear, and it is missing a surge protector. The GFCIs appear to be original to the home. I provided recommendations to replace the aging breakers, install a whole-home surge protector, and upgrade the existing GFCIs. The customer was 100% happy and satisfied with today’s visit and understands that all work is covered under a five-year warranty.
