Found temp split of 12.5F when we arrived. Checked refrigeranteasuremets and found high superheat 32F and low subcooling 4.2. Indoor wet bulb 65. Relative humidity measured by digital psychrometer 72%. Charged system to design superheat and R.H. Dropped to 69%. Thermostat was reading 78% RH. Caulked hole where wires come through wall at thermostat. Made duct. Mods (front piece of plenum). Caulked inside of plenum at top and bottom of slip joints/seams. Taped outside of plenum. Tried switching to lower fan speed but found too low of suction pressure and really high superheat. Rewirred for 24K BTUs cooling. Final temp split 17.0F. Temp split and airflow/plenum issues resolved. %RH is still a little high.
