Service call that there was a burning smell coming from the system, and it was not Cooling. Upon arrival spoke with Homeowner about issue. System was turned off, and a burning smell was present in the home. Turned the unit into AC Mode to test Operation. The Outdoor Unit was running but the Indoor Blower was not operating. Inspection of the Control Board showed that the Board had failed and burned up. Rewired the Blower Fan to Test the Blower and ensure that it was not damaged. The Blower Motor was running, but the Control Board began sparking and the burning smell increased with the system running. Wired Blower Motor to original position and shut the system down at the shut off switch above the unit. Due to the Damage of the Control Board it is not safe to operate the unit. A Universal Control Board is not compatible with this system. We will contact Rheem on Monday morning to get pricing/availability of a new Control Board. After the Control Board is replaced we will test the syste
