Service call that the AC for the Front Office Area was not working. Thermostat was set to 65 Degrees and the Indoor Temperature was at 85 Degrees. The System was off and not running. The Breaker/Disconnect was tripped. Reset the Breaker and put system in operation. The unit ran for a minute and then shut down momentarily before restarting. Measured Amp Readings on the Compressor which were around 20-21 Amps. The Compressor is only rated for 20 Running Amps. Measured Refrigerant Pressures on System. The Head Pressure was reading very high on the System. Pressures ranged from 475-525 PSI. After the system ran the Compressor amps decreased slightly to about 17-18 Amps. If the Head Pressure is running higher it is causing the Compressor to draw higher Amps which could have caused the Breaker to trip. While the system is operating currently it is in poor condition.
