Performed Precision AC Tune Up on Trane Gas Furnace/Heat Pump system. Replaced 16x25x1 Air Filter. Cleaned AC Drain Line and EZ Trap. Cleaned Condensation Pump and filled to ensure it was pumping out properly. Inspected electrical components on system. On outdoor unit found the Dual Capacitor was testing below rating. Also found Contactor was very worn and had Arcing present. Installed a new 45/5 Mfd Dual Capacitor and a new Single Pole 24V Coil Contactor for unit. Complete all wiring and put system into operation. Measured refrigerant charge with system in cooling mode. Homeowner had noted on previous visit that the Heat Pump was not working. Turned system to Heat Mode and measured Refrigerant charge and air temperatures in Heat Pump mode. Heat Pump appears to be running with no issues. System is a Natural Gas Furnace as the Emergency Heat with a Heat Pump as the Primary Heat.
