Checked new coil iced up, started heat pump, checked refrigerant charge, found low on charge, added refrigerant, after a pound the sub cooling started to climb. Stopped adding refrigerant, checked metering device, found a factory installed piston. Piston is either restricted or too small. Recommend replacing piston with correct size or a txv, 8-31-20 Luis re,over old piston and installed new piston pressure test system no leaks found, triple evacuation added 1/2 lb of refrigerant ran unit for 30 mins check dampers operation ok 300/128 with 20 sub cooling and 14 super heat cycle unit ok no charge
