Upon arrival found Refrigerant lines and Indoor Coil completely frozen. Put system in Heating mode to defrost indoor Coil. After defrosting Coil, turned system to AC mode and tested operation. Measured refrigerant charge and added 2lbs of R-22 Refrigerant to system charging by Superheat standards. Recommended superheat was 9 degrees, charged system to a 5 degree Superheat. Measured Supply Air at 56 Degrees with a 77 Degree return Air. If system is loosing refrigerant there is no guarantee on how long the refrigerant will last in the system. Due to age, 20 Years, and overall condition would recommend replacement of the Gas Furnace/AC system.
